Explosion protection in the printing industry

Printing with solvent-based inks releases flammable solvent vapours at the printing units, the dryers and the ink kitchen. The characteristic ignition source in this industry is static build-up: the high-speed film and paper web charges up exactly where the solvent vapour is most concentrated. The documentation has to keep the vapour zones current, along with the dryers and their LEL monitoring, and the static dissipation. EPDS keeps this under control.
